Beatrice will share insights into her process—from harvest to open-sourcing FDA approvals—while guiding guests through a structured tasting experience.

This tasting workshop offers a chance to explore extra virgin olive oil in more depth, from aroma and texture to flavor and finish. It’s an opportunity to experience what makes small-batch olive oil different and hear the story behind Bea Olive Oil’s mission to preserve traditional farming and support sustainable agriculture.

Guests will enjoy light snacks and a beverage alongside the tasting.

Grab an early-bird ticket before March 24th.

About Bea Olive Oil

Bea Olive Oil is a mission-driven company supporting small-scale Tuscan farmers and bringing exceptional olive oil to the U.S. By open-sourcing the FDA approval process, it helps producers who wouldn’t otherwise have the resources to reach the American market. With a two-week turnaround from harvest to landing in New York, Bea Olive Oil delivers fresh, high-polyphenol olive oil—straight off the branch.

Beatrice Karp, Founder & Olive Picker

Beatrice Karp studied Science, Technology, and Society with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating in 2022, she deferred a corporate cybersecurity job and worked as an olive picker in Tuscany. There, she met farmers producing exceptional olive oil—often in surplus but without the means to sell beyond their villages. She also saw firsthand the widespread counterfeiting in the industry and the many factors that impact olive oil quality, from farming methods and biodiversity to pressing techniques and equipment.

Her hands-on approach means she’s involved in every step of the process—from pressing olives within hours of picking them, to FDA approvals to driving her U-Haul to the airport—ensuring authenticity in an industry challenged by fraud. She hopes to shift olive oil demand toward those working the land and encourage the revival of Italy’s many abandoned olive groves.
